Positively Funny Improv has been teaching comedy classes since our inception in July 2010.  We have had over 600+ students attend our comedy classes.

In partnership with Theatre Tuscaloosa and Shelton State Community College, PFI have begunn offering our Improv classes to the Tuscaloosa area.

​

We are offering our much loved Improvisation comedy classes.  In time, we will be offering our stand-up comedy classes and our sketch-comedy writing classes!

Basic Improv Scene Work (requires completion of Level 101 Basic Improv or permission of instructor.

Starts Monday, October 21, 2019, 7:00pm - 9:30pm, 8 sessions

Improv Level 201 introduces students to the skills needed for scene work, the backbone of what we do at Positively Funny Improv.

 

Students build upon the skills they learned in Level 101 and start learning how to improvise scenes. Strong, relationship-based scene work is the backbone of the work we do at Positively Funny Improv. Students learn the skills crucial to scene work, including emotion, listening, and transformation, as well as continue to hone skills learned in Level 101, like ensemble, object work, and “yes, and.”

PFI Games Class (requires completion of Level 201 Basic Scene Work)  Students learn the mechanics of the performance games played by PFI Improvisers. Upon completion of the class, students stage their very own performance for the public, friends and family.
